Special and Inclusive Education

Special and Inclusive Education

  • Special education and Inclusive Education differs from its own concepts.
  • Special Education - Pathognomonic (patho - disease, gnomon - naming the pathology) expect diagnosticians to label a student, handing over the responsibilities to a specialist – Medical Model.
  • Inclusive Education - Interventionist - feel responsible, find a way, constantly observe, learn and unlearn, free from pre-determined assumptions – Social Model.

Designing Technological Resources for Intervention

Identifying the strengths and weakness in the three areas such as memory, attention and perceive-process and then designing simple exercises to intervene each area may benefit students.

How it works?

Frequency and Intensity

Neuroscience research demonstrates that completing a set of learning tasks in a frequent, intense timeframe accelerates learning and increases brain’s elasticity.

Adaptivity

Exercises adapt with each key stroke or mouse click to individual skill levels and responses, keeping students continuously challenged but not frustrated.

Simultaneous Development

Exercises develop major cognitive and reading skills simultaneously to produce lasting improvements in learning.
